The Transfiguration...
1.  And after six days Yahushua took Kepha, and Ya`aqob, and Yohanan his brother, and brought them up on a high mountain by themselves, And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2.  and He was transformed before them, and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as the light. And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3.  And see, Mosheh and Eliyahu appeared to them, talking with Him. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4.  And Kepha answering, said to Yahushua, 'Master, it is good for us to be here. If You wish, let us make here three booths: one for You, one for Mosheh, and one for Eliyahu.' Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5.  While he was still speaking, see, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And see, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, 'This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I did delight. Hear Him!' While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
6.  And when the taught ones heard, they fell on their faces and were much afraid. And when the disciples heard [it], they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
7.  But Yahushua came near and touched them and said, 'Rise, and do not be afraid.' And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
8.  And having lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Yahushua only. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
9.  And as they were coming down from the mountain, Yahushua commanded them, saying, 'Do not mention the vision to anyone until the Son of Adam is raised from the dead.' And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
10.  And His taught ones asked Him, saying, 'Why then do the scribes say that Eliyahu has to come first?' And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
11.  And Yahushua answering, said to them, 'Eliyahu is indeed coming first, and shall restore all matters. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. TR Team Notes
12.  'But I say to you that Eliyahu has already come, and they did not recognise him but did to him whatever they wished. In this way the Son of Adam is also about to suffer by them.' But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. TR Team Notes
13.  Then the taught ones understood that He had spoken to them about Yohanan the Immerser. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
The Healing of a Boy With a Demon...
14.  And when they came to the crowd, a man came up to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a [certain] man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
15.  'Master, have compassion on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers badly, for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16.  'And I brought him to Your taught ones, but they were unable to heal him.' And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17.  And Yahushua answering, said, 'O generation, unbelieving and perverted, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.' Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18.  And Yahushua rebuked the demon, and he came out of him. And the child was healed from that hour. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19.  Then the taught ones came to Yahushua by Himself and said, 'Why were we unable to cast him out?' Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20.  And Yahushua said to them, 'Because of your unbelief, for truly, I say to you, if you have belief as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it shall move. And no matter shall be impossible for you. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21.  'But this kind does not go out except through prayer and fasting.' Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. TR Team Notes
22.  And while they were staying in Galil, Yahushua said to them, 'The Son of Adam is about to be delivered up into the hands of men, And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
23.  and they shall kill Him, and the third day He shall be raised up.' And they were deeply grieved. And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.
The Temple Tax...
24.  And when they came into Kephar Nahum, those who received the tax came to Kepha and said, `Does your Teacher not pay the tax?` And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute [money] came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? TR Team Notes
25.  He said, 'Yea.' And when he came into the house, Yahushua spoke to him first, saying, 'What do you think, Shim'on? From whom do the sovereigns of the earth take toll or tax, from their own sons or from the strangers?' He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
26.  Kepha then said to Him, 'From the strangers.' Yahushua said to him, 'Then the sons are exempt. Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.
27.  'But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you shall find a piece of money. Take that and give it to them for Me and you.' Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
