Jesus (Yahushua) Heals a Paralytic...
1.
And entering into a boat, He passed over, and came to His own city.
And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2.
And see, they were bringing to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. And Yahushua, seeing their belief, said to the paralytic, 'Take courage, son, your sins have been forgiven.'
And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3.
And see, some of the scribes said to themselves, 'This One blasphemes!'
And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This [man] blasphemeth.
4.
And Yahushua, knowing their thoughts, said, 'Why do you think wicked thoughts in your hearts?
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5.
'For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins have been forgiven,' or to say, 'Arise and walk'?
For whether is easier, to say, [Thy] sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6.
'But in order for you to know that the Son of Adam possesses authority on earth to forgive sins...' He then said to the paralytic, 'Rise, take up your bed, and go to your house.'
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7.
And he rose and went to his house.
And he arose, and departed to his house.
8.
And when the crowds saw it, they marvelled and praised Elohim who had given such authority to men.
But when the multitudes saw [it], they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
The Calling of Matthew (Mattithyahu)...
9.
And as Yahushua passed on from there, He saw a man called Mattithyahu sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, `Follow Me.` And he rose and followed Him.
And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
10.
And it came to be, as Yahushua sat at the table in the house, that see, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His taught ones.
And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
11.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His taught ones, 'Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?'
And when the Pharisees saw [it], they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
12.
And Yahushua hearing this, said to them, 'Those who are strong have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
But when Jesus heard [that], he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13.
'But go and learn what this means, 'I desire compassion and not offering.' For I did not come to call the righteous to repentance, but sinners.'
But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Jesus (Yahushua) Questioned About Fasting...
14.
Then the taught ones of Yohanan came to Him, saying, `Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your taught ones do not fast?`
Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?
15.
And Yahushua said to them, 'Are the friends of the bridegroom able to mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days shall come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they shall fast.
And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
16.
'And no one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse.
No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.
17.
'Neither do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.'
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
A Dead Girl and a Sick Woman...
18.
While He was saying all this to them, see, a ruler came and bowed down to Him, saying, `My daughter is dead by now, but come and lay Your hand on her and she shall live.`
While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
19.
And Yahushua rose and followed him, His taught ones too.
And Jesus arose, and followed him, and [so did] his disciples.
20.
And see, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the tzitzit of His garment.
And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind [him], and touched the hem of his garment:
21.
For she said to herself, 'If I only touch His garment, I shall be healed.'
For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
22.
But Yahushua turned, and when He saw her He said, `Take courage, daughter, your belief has healed you.` And the woman was healed from that hour.
But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
23.
And when Yahushua came into the ruler's house, and saw the flute players and the crowd making a noise,
And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,
24.
He said to them, `Go back, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.` And they laughed at Him.
He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.
25.
But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.
26.
And this report went out into all that land.
And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.
Jesus (Yahushua) Heals the Blind and Mute...
27.
And as Yahushua passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, `Son of Dawid, have compassion on us!`
And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, [Thou] Son of David, have mercy on us.
28.
And when He came into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Yahushua said to them, 'Do you believe that I am able to do this?' They said to Him, 'Yea, Master.'
And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29.
Then He touched their eyes, saying, 'According to your belief let it be to you.'
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30.
And their eyes were opened. And Yahushua strictly ordered them, saying, 'See, let no one know.'
And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See [that] no man know [it].
31.
But when they went out, they made Him known in all that land.
But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.
32.
And as they were going out, see, they brought to Him a man, dumb and demon-possessed.
As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.
33.
And when the demon was cast out, the dumb one spoke. And the crowds marvelled, saying, 'It was never seen like this in Yisra'el!'
And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
34.
But the Pharisees said, 'He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.'
But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.
The Workers Are Few...
35.
And Yahushua went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their congregations, and proclaiming the Good News of the reign, and healing every disease and every bodily weakness among the people.
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36.
And having seen the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, as sheep having no shepherd.
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37.
Then He said to His taught ones, 'The harvest truly is great, but the workers are few.
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly [is] plenteous, but the labourers [are] few;
38.
'Pray then that the Master of the harvest would send out workers to His harvest.'
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
